For several years, has offered a phone option in their vehicles. However, depending on the year of the vehicle, this phone option required the use of a particular dealer provided phone. Moreover, the handsets had to be purchased from a dealership because they had special programming, called firmware, that allowed the phone to integrate into the vehicle. If you purchased the equivalent phone from your local cell phone store and plugged it into the car, you would find that it did little or nothing. Since you were required to purchase this phone from a dealership, you often had to pay $500 for a phone that costs less than $100 at a cell phone store. So if it was lost or broken, you had to purchase it from a dealer all over again. You also had limited choices in carriers, many carriers simply were not offered. These phone systems were also based on a now obsolete analog technology that is no longer serviced by cellular providers. Also, if you live in one of the many states or cities that now has laws against handheld phone use while driving, you may find yourself wearing one of those uncomfortable and ridiculous wired or wireless earpieces. CarTronics offers an obsolete-proof bluetooth phone solution for your car that makes your car safer, easier to control, and compliant with all local laws regarding cell phone use.
The Argos is a wireless solution that uses Bluetooth technology that is common in all of todays phones. If you have any phone, PDA, or smartphone with Bluetooth, this is the completely integrated solution for you. If your car was sold in the U.S., your car is already pre-wired for a phone system. This is just a plug-in installation that takes just a few minutes to perform. If your car was sold outside the U.S., your car may or may not be pre-wired (you can call your dealer and give them your VIN number to find out). If your car is not pre-wired, we have an inexpensive kit that will allow the Argos to be installed.
The CarTronics Argos allows you to simply get into the car with the phone in your pocket or purse. The car then connects wirelessly to your phone when you start the car. Make no mistake, this is a fully integrated solution that operates exactly the same as an original factory phone system. Full integration means that all the original factory functions - such as using the COMAND navigation or other radio head unit and steering wheel controls to dial, accept/reject calls, browse the cell phone's directory, voice dailing1, etc - will work just as intended. The unit simply plugs into the network connection that is in your trunk (hidden by a carpet panel).

Aux-InD2B
If you are looking for an economical solution for adding iPod, satellite or other audio to your car, then you have found it! This unit takes the place of the factory CD changer on your vehicle. It has a standard RCA stereo input jacks that can be used to play audio from any portable device that has a headphone jack or line-out.
Installation is what you have come to expect from CarTronics... simple! Simply disconnect the fiber optic cable and power plug from your CD changer and plug them into the Aux-InD2B. Then route your extension cable to the cabin location of your choice, and that is it! When you want to listen to crystal clear sound, just select CD on your dash and listen to the device of your choice... simple! This device does not charge your audio player, nor does it allow you to control it from the steering wheel or radio controls.

Our VIM/BC (video in motion / backup camera) solution will provide two video inputs, one typically for a backup camera, and one for another video input (such as DVD player, iPod/iPhone video, etc) on your with COMAND. Once installed, the button that is blank or labeled TV on the COMAND will activate the video. You can watch live video and also connect it so that when you put the car into reverse, the unit will automatically switch to a backup camera.
