There are two systems available for your BMW. One is a lower cost (Plain-Talk™) solution and one is fully integrated solution (iTronic™), the same as a factory installed system.
Plain-Talk™ - a low cost, integrated Bluetooth phone solution for BMW.
Plain-Talk™ is a
simple, convenient, inexpensive way to add Bluetooth cell
phone technology to your BMW. This unit utilizes your vehicles
built in telephone wiring and capabilities, including using your steering wheel controls. Installation and operation
is straight forward. No cutting or splicing of any wiring is
required. Simply plug into the telephone connectors that are already in your car.
Built upon the stable and reliable Parrot Bluetooth® products,
the Plain-Talk™ system offers superior sound quality and functionality
while reducing in-cabin clutter and making the installation
easier. The Plain-Talk™ system is based on our OEM bluetooth system. The Plain-Talk does not show caller-id information, phonebook or use car's built in keypad for dialing - but it does use the steering wheel controls, incorporates voice control, and will interupt music playing so the call can be heard over the car's built in speakers.

iTronic™ BT is a fully integrated, "same as factory installed" Bluetooth phone solution for BMW.
The iTronic™ BT handsfree Bluetooth phone solution works just like a BMW factory installed phone system. It includes full caller-id display and phonebook use1 in the car's built in radio and instrument cluster displays. The iTronic™ BT kit is a solution that allows you to use any brand phone and allows you to choose any carrier you desire. In addition, it allows you to simply get into the car with the phone in your pocket, purse, or briefcase. When you start your car, the car will automatically connect wirelessly to your phone. It is the only certified aftermarket bluetooth phone system for your BMW. Full integration means, using radio or steering wheel controls to dial, accept/reject calls, browse the cell phone's directory, voice dialing, etc1. In short, it is designed to work just like a factory installed system would. The unit simply plugs into the network connection that is under the cd changer in some cars or behind/below the glovebox in other models. Installation is straight forward and simple. It does not require any cutting or modification of the car at all, therefore does not void any manufacturers warranty. The unit is also completely hidden after installation. No unsightly boxes or displays, just like a factory installed system. Many people ask if the car needs to be pre-wired for a phone system...the answer is NO!!! With or without phone pre-wiring, the system will activate all the original factory phone functions intended for your car.

iTronic™ Audio iPod Connection
The iTronic™ Audio will enable you to use an iPod with your car. It has a standard iPod dock connector that can be used to play audio and control your iPod from the Radio and/or steering wheel controls of your BMW. A new menu will appear in the display that normally controls the CD Changer. It will allow you to select playlists, artists, albums, etc.
Installation is what you have come to expect from CarTronics... simple! Simply slide the radio or CD changer unit out, disconnect the fiber optic cable, plug in the fiber optic cable provided, plug in power and slide the radio or changer unit back into place. Then route your dock cable to the cabin location of your choice, and that is it! When you want to listen to crystal clear sound, just select CD Changer on your dash and listen to AND CONTROL your iPod... simple!

CarTronics VIM/BC is a fully integrated video in motion and backup camera system for BMW.
Our VIM/BC (video in motion / backup camera) solution will provide video input and audio input to your BMW's built in screen. Once installed, you will be able to play videos from three different sources on your screen. Typically one of the inputs is used for a backup camera. The other two inputs can be used for sources such as an iPod video output, DVD player, PMP, etc. You can switch between them with the included remote control. If connected to your reverse system in the car, the video will automatically switch to the backup camera input, when you put your car in reverse.
THIS IS A PACKAGE SYSTEM. IT INCLUDES YOUR CHOICE OF BACKUP CAMERA STYLE BELOW. DO NOT ADD THE CAMERA WHEN PURCHASING IT IS ALREADY INCLUDED.

Cartronics Digital HDTV Tuner for BMW.
The Cartronics.com terrestrial Digital HDTV (ATSC-MH) tuner works just like your TV at home. but can be used while you are driving. It can be used to pick up all your Digital HDTV channels broadcast in your area. Combine it with our VIM module and/or Rear Entertainment system and you will have a complete entertainment experience in your car. It includes a wireless remote control and outputs to any video display device. It also includes inputs so it can be integrated with other player devices (example: DVD player). It is the our only certified Digital HDTV system for your BMW. Installation is straight forward and simple. It does not require any cutting or modification of the car at all, therefore does not void any manufacturers warranty. Make no mistake, this is not a digital tuner like all the rest that only works while you are stationary... this works while the car is moving! You can even include our VIM (Video In Motion) module and display the same video on your front NAV screen as well!
